High-Performance Metal Removal for Glass Waste Recycling
The SGM GVIS Model is a high-efficiency Eddy Current Separator (ECS) specifically designed for glass waste recycling, ensuring superior removal of metal contaminants from glass cullet.
Built with a concentric rotor design, the GVIS Model maximizes material exposure to the magnetic field, using large permanent magnet blocks to generate high-intensity magnetic energy. Operating at 3,000 RPM, this separator provides exceptional metal separation performance, increasing glass purity and reducing contamination.
Key Features & Benefits
- Optimized for glass cullet separation, handling highly abrasive materials
- Concentric rotor design for maximum magnetic field exposure
- High-speed rotor (3,000 RPM) for efficient metal contaminant removal
- Durable metallic components exposed to material contact, ensuring long-term performance
- Electronic emergency fast-breaking system for increased safety
- Easy access design for simplified maintenance
How It Works:
The GVIS Model utilizes a high-speed rotating magnetic field to induce eddy currents in non-ferrous metal contaminants, repelling them from the glass stream and allowing for efficient separation.
- Non-ferrous metals (such as aluminum, copper, and brass) are repelled and ejected into a separate collection area.
- Clean glass cullet continues along its natural trajectory, ensuring maximum purity.
To optimize separation efficiency, the GVIS Model can be equipped with a suspended ferrous magnet to pre-remove ferrous metals before they reach the ECS.
Customizable Options
The SGM GVIS Model offers various optional features to enhance separation efficiency and equipment durability:
- Ferrous suspended permanent magnet for pre-removal of ferrous metals
- Brush cleaning system for continuous belt maintenance
- Automatic or manual splitter adjustment for precise separation control
- Ceramic shell for fiberglass drum for increased wear resistance
- Vibrating feeder for consistent material distribution
Available Models
SGM Magnetics offers multiple GVIS models, each optimized for different throughput capacities.
