Air Tables

Technical specifications.

The core of air gravity table separators consists in an inclined vibrating screen deck on which material is fed evenly on the all width. The vibrating motion of the deck makes that material is forced to climb up the deck while at the same time material is also exposed to a constant and evenly distributed upward airflow.

Separation takes place between light material that levitates under the action of the upward airflow and goes down the deck and heavy material that does not levitate and rises up the deck.

PRESSURE DENSITY SEPARATOR
PDS MODEL

The SGM PDS separator is an air gravity table suitable to separate particles featuring different densities between a light and heavy fraction. The dryness, the size and shape of the material are also important factors that may require the material to be screened in specific size ranges. The ideal solution for separating dry fines (below 20mm) particles based on their different specific weights (light from heavy).

Material is fed and distributed among the entire width of the inclined vibrating air table. Material is exposed to a constant and evenly distributed air flow that makes the light fraction levitate. The light particles of the material flow towards the bottom and the heavier mass particles move towards the top. Both materials are conveyed separately. As an option, the dust discharged in the air can be collected and filtered through a cyclone and a baghouse filter.
