Air Tables – Pressure Density Separator (PDS Model)

Air Gravity Separation for High-Purity Material Recovery

The SGM Pressure Density Separator (PDS Model) is a air gravity table, designed to separate materials based on density differences. Utilizing a vibrating deck and controlled upward airflow, the PDS ensures precise sorting of light and heavy fractions, making it ideal for processing dry fines (1mm to 20mm).

How the PDS Model Works

  1. Material is evenly fed across the width of the inclined vibrating air table.
  2. Upward airflow lifts lighter particles, allowing them to levitate and move downward on the deck.
  3. Heavier particles resist airflow, remaining in contact with the deck and moving upward.
  4. Separated materials are collected in distinct streams, ensuring high-purity fractionation.
  5. Optional dust collection system (cyclone & baghouse filter) captures airborne particulates for cleaner operation.

Typical Applications

Separation of Light vs. Heavy Metals – Effectively sorts aluminum and magnesium from copper, brass, zinc, and lead.
Fine Zorba Processing – Optimized for 1mm to 20mm material fractions.
Metal Recycling & Purification – Enhances non-ferrous metal recovery.
Industrial Waste Processing – Improves sorting efficiency for various dry materials.
