How X-Ray Transmission (XRT) Works

  2. X-Ray Penetration & Absorption: The X-ray emitter (source) directs radiation through the material, while dual-energy sensors (LDA receivers) measure the residual energy after penetration.
  3. Data Processing & Material Identification: The system analyzes density variations to determine the material type, enabling precise differentiation between light and heavy metals, as well as plastics.
  4. Automated Sorting & Ejection: The software processes the collected data and triggers the pneumatic sorting mechanism, which accurately separates materials into different output streams.

The entire process is fully automated, with real-time synchronization between the sorting system and belt speed settings, ensuring maximum recovery rates and minimal losses.
