The SGM VIS Model is a high-frequency Eddy Current Separator (ECS) designed for superior non-ferrous metal recovery, particularly for ultra-fine and fine fractions. Equipped with a concentric rotor, it ensures maximum material exposure to the magnetic field, optimizing metal separation efficiency.
Operating at speeds between 3,000 and 4,800 RPM, the VIS Model performs both instantaneous and progressive separation, making it ideal for ultra-fine metal recovery applications. To maximize efficiency and protect the ECS, it is recommended to pre-remove ferrous contaminants using a ferrous separator before processing materials in the VIS Model.

How It Works:
Unlike eccentric rotor ECS designs, which allow only instantaneous separation, the SGM VIS Model utilizes a concentric rotor design, enabling progressive separation—critical for capturing ultra-fine non-ferrous metals that require more time to be repelled.
- Ultra-fine metals (<5 mm) receive progressive separation for higher recovery rates
- Fine & medium fractions (<12 mm – 20 mm) benefit from instantaneous and progressive sorting
- Pre-removal of ferrous metals is recommended to optimize performance and protect the ECS rotor
